The Kintail Highland Bagpipe
Every Kintail bagpipe is turned and finished by hand by the Sharp family and their small team of expert craftsmen in the Kintail workshops in the heart of Glasgow. Great care and experience is required when making a bagpipe if it is to stamped with the Kintail brand; only the finest quality African Blackwood and Ebony is selected, then each set is pre bored and shaped then laid to settle in their moisture controlled wood stores for a minimum of three years before being hand turned into the finished bagpipe.
